School Board Candidate Resource Page
The 2022 Primary Election is August 23. This is an important election because District 1 and District 5 School Board members will be decided on that date as there are only two candidates in each race. District 2 could be decided if any candidate has more than 50% of the vote, which is unlikely with 4 candidates in the race.
If you’re signed up for a vote by mail ballot, you should receive the ballot around July 14. You can check the Status of Your Mail Ballot here:

Early Voting for the 2022 Primary Election will be available Saturday, August 13, 2022 - Saturday, August 20, 2022 Early Voting sites will be open: Monday - Friday - 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Saturday - Sunday - 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 pm.
Each election cycle our Political Committee, made up of teachers, retiree representatives, and BFT leaders closely analyzes candidates’ positions, the track record of incumbents, member input, and viability. After considerable discussion, our Political Committee decided to not put forth a recommendation for any school board candidates. We will reevaluate District 2 after the primary election. With that said, please take your time to get to know the candidates better. We’ve created a resource page to see where candidates stand on the issues.
